Ted adjusted timings on 167. The parity error problem is still present.
D. Poole does not wish to get involved with it directly, but is willing
to help Ted. Ted says he is going to look into it more. I expect any
progress to come slowly.

BRAND NEW STUPID STORY:
I HAVE A NICE DOG AND A SLIMY SNAKE.MY DOG HAS WHITE FURRY EARS.ALL
MAMMALS HAVE EARS BUT MY SNAKE HAS NO EARS.SO IT IS A MAMMAL TOO.I CALL
IT HORACE.
Only "intuitively incorrect" answer is consistent with information given.
Since "intuitively correct"implicit answer is deductively excluded. In this version there are no trivial inferences
and no need to downgrade any given fact. But it is still an assumption that the two "it"s have
the same referent.

Sorry Tom,Ive made a new mistake----dont answer the last, new story follows sometime!!!!
∂30-MAY-73 1630 1,YAW
No,Im trying to skirt the issue you mention in order to concentrate on another.
In the example,as set up,it doesnt question or "delete" any assertion given to
it.And what I mean by inference system here is simply a deducive one that accepts
ITS OWN valid inferences ,and not any invalid ones it might make. Thus,it considers
both IMPLICIT assertions:(1)The dog is a mammal,(2)The snake is a mammal.(neither of
of these are made in the story).(1)is excluded by the information it already
has, plus its deductie principle (A→B)→(¬B→¬A).(2) is given as the product of a false inference, but is still
CONSISTENT with its information.I may still have stated the example infelicitously,in that now the error comitted
by the story's author is irrelevant to the analysis.

I have a nice white dog.All mammals have ears you know, but my poor dg has
no ears.I also have a snake with ears.It is therefore a mammal too,and I call
it Horace.
